Iname sat down with his guitar, playing away. He had many guitars, but this was his first and always had a special spot in his heart. He called it Pattimo, and almost all of the crew knew he did. He had been working on a song he wrote a while back. He didn't have the words written, but he did have the chords, so he made up words. It was actually a shopping list from when he was younger, and he had no idea why he still had it. "Pack of saltines... can of sardines... frozen pizza and one dozen burritos..." he sang. It echoed across the sea. "Well this is fun, playing to an audience that doesn't exist."

Diva stood in the darkest place that she could find, shrouded in the shadows that made up the opening between the stairs and the deck. She wasn't trying to hide, exactly, but neither was she interested in being noticed. Usually she would have avoided the deck altogether when aware that someone else was there, but this time she hadn't. She had been lured by the sound of the guitar, wanting to listen for a bit. And so she had, a little smile playing on her lips as she listened to Iname's little grocery list song.
"Nonexistent audiences are sometimes the best."she found herself saying in response to his talking to himself, almost startled to hear her own quiet tones. She hadn't meant to say anything..But now that she had..She stepped from the shadows and more into the light on deck.

"Bwaaa!" Iname shouted. He threw Pattimo in the air accidentally and it went flying. Iname flew up after it and caught it on the way back down, sighing in relief. He flew back down, rustling his wings a bit before folding them back up. He looked to Diva and smiled. "They're also the ones that scare the living shi(take) out of you," he said, chuckling a bit. "I usually don't play for just one person, but for a girl as pretty as you are I might make an exception." He walked around her, observing, and smiled. "Yep, you're good." He walked back over to where he was sitting and played a few chords. "So what's your name? I don't think I've seen you around lately..."

Diva's eyes widened in alarm when he jumped, having not meant to startle him. But then she hadn't mean to speak either, and so it was no wonder she startled him. She'd spoken pretty much out of nowhere. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." she said quietly, giving him an apologetic and somber look. But at least he and his guitar were alright..She would have felt terrible had he broken it due to her surprising him. She couldn't help but to blush a bit as he continued to speak, flattered by his comment. It had been some time since she had recieved any like compliments....Naturally, since she avoided the crew for the most part and tended to wander the deck and bowels of the ship only at times she knew no one else would be there..
Despite being flattered, though, she didn't respond to the compliment in any other way. Instead, she listened intently as he played a few more chords on the guitar. She loved music..Had always loved it. "You wouldn't have...I don't tend to be around and about when anyone else is.."she admitted softly, though she didn't outright say she avoided them. Sometimes it was just easier for her to be alone. "I'm Diva. And you are?"

"I'm Iname," he said with a smirk. "You could say I'm the entertainer aboard this ship." He played the same riff three times in a row, like a small intro. "You should really come up sometime to see the show. It's great." He always loved the shows, no matter who listened. He played whatever he wanted to whenever he wanted to regardless of the audience. It was a big bag o` fun.
(big bag o` fun?)

"I see."Diva said thoughtfully. He did seem like the type of guy to be entertaining and he was talented with the guitar.. "I might do that." She smiled a little as she said it. She supposed it wouldn't hurt her to wander on up to listen a time or two. She did like music and being around the rest of the crew (or those of them listening anyway) wouldn't really disturb her much. "You play beautifully."
((lol ^.^interesting..o.O))

"I'm tellin ya," Iname said. "There's nothing quite like being in a crowded, stuffy room with no air to breathe while some dude, namely me, is sitting up on stage singing a song about some old forgotten war hero who killed himself over not having any whiskey. It's great." He laughed a bit and sighed.

Diva laughed softly at his description and nodded slightly. It did sound interesting to say the least. Walking forward, she sat near to him on the deck, fluttering her tawny wings slightly as she made herself comfortable. "I will be sure to check it out. Your performance sounds interesting."

"Oh, much more than interesting," Iname said. "You never know what will happen." He paused for a bit and strummed a few notes. "So how'd you get banished from Heaven?" Iname asked. "You don't really seem the type."

Diva smiled lightly at that, accepting and contemplating that answer thoughtfully. Definitely something she wanted to see. "I see. I will most definitely have to come and listen then." she said softly. Her eyes widened just a bit in response to his question, before she shrugged and let her gaze wander away from him. "I questioned His word.. I didn't understand why he took someone from me, and..I was angry with him." she answered truthfully. "What about you?"she added, eager to change the subject from herself.

Iname chuckled a bit. "I basically told God to shove it up his," he said. "That's the jist of what I said, but I had a more colorful vocabulary. I just lost my temper, was all. I don't really mind being on Earth, but Heaven was nice.

"You did?"Diva widened her eyes and gasped, though it was obviously in incredulous delight more than upset. She had wanted to the last time she had been there..but of course, being the type of person she was she had shown her upset in other ways. "I'd have loved to have seen that.."she said with a soft laugh and a bright smile. Then she nodded slowly, "I agree..Heaven was wonderful for the most part."

"Yeah, it was great," Iname said. "You shoulda seen the look on His face. Shoo..." He thought for a bit and said, "Heaven was great. I remember a girl I met once up there and the very same day I met her we ended up snuggling at my place for hours... Err, what? Nevermind," He said. "I think I was dreaming again..."

((lol, and there's a mention of Delilah I should so make her shouldn't I? What do you think?)) Diva listened respectfully as he spoke, a little smile on her lips as he talked about the look on His face then went on to talk about some girl he'd met. "It's nice that you still remember her. How long ago was it that you were kicked out?"she asked curiously.

(i agree)
"Uhm..." Iname thought for a bit. "It was about 60 years ago, I think. Give or take a decade or two of course," he smiled. "And ooo I hit the ground so hard. Mmm! I think the crater is still there." He played a little bit on his guitar and it ended up, somehow, as Chopin's Funeral March.
