"Ah, to be on land again!" Cain said, standing on the aft. "It is like a fresh rebirth!" The ship slowed, but not enough, and it slammed into the concrete holding the beach back from the port. It didn't damage the ship. surprisingly, but the rock was broken. He jumped from the ship to the wooden dock and laughed again. He noticed another ship there, one he had seen before. It looked to be one of the ships that had frequented the port. He shrugged it off, however, and thought that anyone there from the ship might, but probably would not, recognize him. "Well, I'm about to go and meet someone. Anyone care to join me?" Cain asked, scratching the back of his head.

Meri clung to the side of the ship as it bumped against the dock, holding tight in order to keep her balance at the movement. She couldn't help but to smile as she heard Cain speak, obviously glad to be back at port for a time. Once the boat was settled against the dock she made her way down, relieved to step onto steady land. "I'll go. If you wouldnt mind." she said immediately, barely pausing to consider the words before they were out.

"Come along then," Cain said, "And enter the wondrous world of Cain von Lucius." He, of course, was joking, as he knew Vestibule much better then Sandui, but he knew people here. Scary people, but people nonetheless. He laughed and waved his hand over to him. At the same time the lanterns in the eyes of the figurehead glew brighter and a faint laughter could be heard on the inside. It had been rumored the ship was haunted, but it was disregarded. Still, there was plenty of evidence to the haunting.

Meri smiled as he agreed that she could go along, glad for the chance to stay in his company awhile longer. She couldn't help but shiver as she heard the faint laughter coming from the ship, since she'd always wondered herself if the rumors about it being haunted were true. Moving closer to Cain, she waited for him to lead the way.

"Here, hold my hand," Cain said. "Wouldn't want you to get snatched up now would we?"
Back in his kitchen, Todd (or Sweeney as he called himself) sharpened a knife slowly, chuckling lowly as he did. "Now, how do we want this done?" He looked into his knife and saw himself reflected. "Across the chest? Down the length? Maybe we should just hack off all the limbs. He smiled a toothy grin and slowly made an incision, reveling in the sound of tearing flesh. He wrapped it up and tied it with twine. "Here you are, sir," he said, handing it off to a man infront of the cutting board. "4 servings of pork, freshly cut and ready to roast." "Thank you, Mr. Michaels," the man said, handing Sweeney a few coins. Sweeney smiled, and as the man left, he asked himself "I wonder how a man that large would taste in a sandwich?" He laughed a bit and sighed. "Cain should be here by now. Where is he?"

"Oh no, that would be a tragedy."Meri joked with a bright smile. Reaching out, she slipped her hand into his and held on lightly, ignoring the urge to blush. Cain's skin was cooler than her own but she didn't mind.

"And here it is!" Cain said, after a bit of walking. The Sweeney Michaels' Bakery was large and dark, but lights were on inside. All the plants around the place were dead, and the chimney shot out thick black smoke. "So let's go in."
Sweeney looked up and smiled. "Someone at the door. Someone I haven't seen in a while," he said. He already had his things packed up beside him. He was, indeed, ready to go. "Hopefully it's Cain. But he has someone else with him. Curious."

Meri walked close to Cain, making sure to keep ahold of his hand on the approach to the bakery. The building looked just a bit creepy to her but she said nothing as they approached it, already more curious about this Sweeny person.
