"You wanna see something kewl?" Cain's Mark glowed fiery red and the flames in the fire pit grew higher. It grew and grew and at the top it formed a head and arms. It flailed about wildly and spewed a gout of flames towards the sea, making a giant steam pillar. The monster made of flames folded its arms over its chest and sank back into the fire pit. "I love doin` that..."

"Sure."Meri answered, honestly curious to see what he would do. When the flames grew higher and the thing made of fire grew until it extended out of the pit and toward the sea, her eyes widened a bit. Not in alarm, but rather in awe and interest as it folded its arms and sank back into the pit. "Wow..Captain..That's impressive.."

"That?" Cain scoffed a bit. "That's nothing. It just looks kewl. I can do all sorts of things with fire." He laughed a bit.

"What kinds of things?"Meri asked curiously, intrigued by the idea that he could do more than that. Even that trick had impressed her, being that she didn't know any humans who could do anything like that and she had never seen any of the other crew showing off what they were able to do. "Will you show me?"

"Maybe some other day," Cain said, stretching. "As for now, I find myself a tad tired." He yawned and stretched again, scratching his side. He looked to the horizon. "Besides, the sun is going to rise soon, so I had best be off." He bowed over low and took his hat off. "Til next we meet." With that, he put his hat back on and walked over to his cabin.

"Oh, alright." Meri said softly, reluctant to let him go but not having a reasonable excuse on-hand to keep him from leaving her. Besides that..He did have a point. The sun would rise in less than an hour's time and she definitely didn't want to keep him so late as to be caught in the light. But as a thought occured to her, she leapt up from her place and dashed after him as he moved toward his cabin, intent on catching him before he left completely.
"Wait, Captain.. With all the drama.. I doubt you had a chance to feed at all..and.. I meant to.. I thought maybe I might offer? Sometime or other, when you're hungry I mean.."Meri frowned a bit, hating how flustered she sounded but this wasn't exactly something she was used to offering up. But she had caused him quite alot of trouble and maybe offering to feed him a time or other would help make up for it. Sort of a tit for tat, thing.

"Hmm... maybe later," Cain said. "I actually find myself satiated for the day." He smiled at Meri and put a hand on her shoulder. "Now you go and rest." He actually hadn't fed for days, but for some reason he couldn't bring himself to drink her blood. He'd probably just find a rat in his cabin and drink it, but he just couldn't do it from her. "Good morning," he said with a wave as he closed his door. He climbed into his bed and dozed off.

Meri smiled softly at the Captain and nodded slightly, feeling his hand on her shoulder. She didn't have a choice but to accept his answer and though she supposed anyone else would feel relieved, she didn't. She didn't really understand what she was feeling as far as Cain was concerned. "Have a peaceful rest, Captain." she said lightly, watching him retreat to his cabin before turning back to the deck. She would watch the sunrise and maybe sit in the sun awhile before she would sleep..
